About Emma Alston Voice

I am an experienced voice and communication coach, working with people who want to speak with clarity, confidence, and credibility.

My relationship with voice is not theoretical. It is lived.

As a child, I developed a pronounced stammer following a skiing accident. Speech training helped me to find fluency again. Fifteen years later, after a serious cycling accident, I sustained a brain injury and once more had to relearn how to speak. Those experiences shaped not only my voice but my understanding of what it means to communicate under pressure, fatigue, and scrutiny.

They also shaped my decision to train professionally.

I went on to complete a Master's degree in Voice Studies at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, specialising in voice, presence, and spoken communication. My work is grounded in physiology, psychology, and embodied practice, not performance tricks or surface confidence.

I work with national and local authorities, corporate organisations, small businesses, and private individuals. Alongside my coaching practice, I work internationally for London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

When I am not working, you will most likely find me cooking, dancing, reading, or walking in the hills.

If you would like to explore how your voice could feel steadier, clearer, and more aligned with who you are now, I offer a free consultation. Please get in touch
